Techno - darmowa baza

Na ogó³ przyjmuje siê, ¿e techno powsta³o z post-dyskotekowej muzyki house, popularnej w Detroit i Chicago, w po³owie lat 80. Za pocz¹tek techno uwa¿a siê za³o¿on¹ w 1984 przez grupê kilkunastoletnich, g³ównie czarnoskórych DJ-ów, ucz¹cych siê w œrednich szko³ach w Detroit, polow¹, nielegaln¹ dyskotekê, pod namiotem, o nazwie "Techno City". DJ-e ci grali tam muzykê opart¹ na rytmach House, ale tworzon¹ na bazie wymyœlonych przez siebie, ca³kowicie syntetycznych brzmieñ. Dyskoteka ta zyska³a szybko bardzo liczne grono sta³ych bywalców, którzy zaczêli siê do niej przenosiæ z bardziej tradycyjnych dyskotek. Po osi¹gniêciu takiego sukcesu wielu z tych DJ-ów zaczê³o jeŸdziæ po ca³ych Stanach Zjednoczonych i organizowaæ podobne dyskoteki polowe pod innymi wielkimi miastami.
